Once the Pay By Link has been activated on your account, you can get started by following the steps below.
- Login to the Scalapay Merchant Portal with the credentials provided by the Scalapay merchant support team.

- On the left side menu, go to the In store section.

- Select the desired store and device of the shop counter.

- There are two different procedures possible.
- If the customer does not use the Scalapay app, the cashier will send a link to the customer's phone number to complete the payment.
- If the customer uses the Scalapay app, the payment will be completed by using the Barcode generated by the customer in the app.
For each of the two procedures, you will find a video that will explain how to proceed step by step.

❤ Instore Pay by link through a link sent to the customer's phone number
If the customer doesn't have the Scalapay app, the cashier will have to send a link to the customer's phone number. The cashier will have to fill in the fields with the customer’s information.

IMPORTANT
The link is valid for 10 minutes. If the customer doesn't complete it within this time frame, the order expires.
After receiving the payment link, the customer will finalise the payment of the order through their mobile phone.

If the customer uses the Scalapay app, they will have to connect to the App and generate a Barcode.
Here are the steps that the customer has to follow to create a Barcode.

The cashier will have to use the Barcode reader of the device or they will have to enter the Barcode by hand in the specific section required in the device.

Merchant reference field
This field is important for the payment reconciliation. You can fill in this field with your Order reference.
Slide option Send order to device
If the flag is enabled, the link is sent directly to the customer Mobile Number (SMS).
If the flag is disabled, the link is created on the Merchant Portal but it is not sent to the customer. In order to send the link, go to the Pay By Link section, click on "Copy link", paste the link in an email, Whatsapp message or any other preferred channel.
